Orbit Pumps

Orbit Pump

The core product in this range is the Orbit positive displacement pump, which is sold in industrial, mining and agricultural applications worldwide.

The complete range includes, industrial pumps, close-coupled pumps, axial flow pumps.

Industrial Pumps

The pumps may be driven by electric motor, geared motor, variable speed gearbox, hydraulic motor, diesel engine, petrol engine or air motor. Installation can be horizontal, vertical or in any other position. Industrial pumps may also be skid-mounted or mounted on a portable trolley base. There is a choice of standard sealed or fully sealed universal joints.

  • Excellent suction capabilities - inherently self-priming
  • Flow rates of up to 23 litres/sec
  • Good solids handling capabilities including fibrous materials
  • Reversible - will pump in either direction with equal efficiency
  • Capacity is proportional to speed (dosing applications)
  • Pressure is independent of speed
  • No valves
  • Gentle handling of shear-sensitive products
  • Ability to handle viscous products of over 1 million centipoises
  • Solid or hollow shaft option
  • Pulse-free flow
  • Ability to handle products with a large percentage of entrained gas

Applications

  • Water and waste water industry
  • Paper and pulp
  • Brewing and beverages
  • Mining
  • Chemical and petrochemical industry
  • Food, dairy and confectionery
  • Pharmaceuticals and cosmetics

Tsunami Axial Flow Pumps

Orbit Pump

The axial flow pump has become the pump of choice for those who have to move large volumes of water at relatively low heads. The pumps require no major civil construction work for installation and are extremely reliable. The range can be configured for installation in vertical, sloping or horizontal applications.

Axial flow pumps are manufactured with a flow rate of up to 2600 l/s. Head capabilities range from 100 m for the smaller pumps, through to 40m for the 600 mm pumps and 25m for the 900mm diameter model.

Features

  • Permanently submerged turbines
  • Motor can be positioned well above flood levels
  • No valves and no priming problems
  • Self-flushing
  • Light load starting conditions
  • Varying head conditions result in only small variations in flow
  • Heavy duty thrust assembly
  • Stainless steel shafts, impellers and impeller rings
  • Single stage for low heads and multiple staged for higher heads

Markets

  • Aquaculture and aqua sport
  • Backwash water from filters
  • Water transfer from rivers
  • Effluent recycling within sewage works
  • Water harvesting
